Photography Series by Angeli from Karma Creatives inspired by Mark Your Wall Color Palette #03

Updated: Dec 13, 2021

Angeli has been behind the lens capturing great shots of colorful scenes and people at massive events like Genderfunk; online magazine Asia Life; festivals such as Coracle, Quest, Mui Ne Music & Arts Festival, Vibe Nation Festival; and even covered the New Fame tour in North Vietnam. Today we invite her to be in the spotlight and talk to her about life and she shares with us her snapshots from Muine where she is now based, inspired by MARK YOUR WALL's Color Palette #03.

Hi Angeli, could you tell us more about yourself.

I'm a creative freelancer who owns & runs a home based business called Karma Creatives. I have had 15+ years of professional experience in the media & entertainment industry that nobody in Vietnam really knows about lol I was born and raised in Abu Dhabi and consider myself a third culture kid who has a serious hankering for Middle Eastern & South East Asian cuisine.

In what way has color / art helped you to thrive?

As a young girl I already had a penchant for colors, even before I could spell them. If my parents' furniture and walls could speak, they would share colorful and loud stories. The older I got the more color became a part of my personality. Anyone who has met me will tell you that I'm not hard to miss. I either have a loud non matching ensemble on, colorful hair, since I learned how to cut and dye my own hair as a tween or I'm surrounded with colorful personalities. My friend and acquaintance circles have grown and as I realized that colors are simply an extension of my personality, I then started applying my colorful wisdom and ways of expression to my work and life.

Thank you for collaborating with us on the MARK YOUR WALL Connect project. What was it like curating this set of photos which is inspired by Color Palette #03?

I saw the palette and thought to myself "Wow! How perfect!" Living along the coast has given me the peace of mind I didn't know I was looking so tirelessly for. The palette inspired the photo series because it made me revisit my great appreciation of living in such a gilded cage especially during this pandemic. There are far worst case scenarios.

Thank you for sharing with us Angeli!
